Dr. Aaron Waite

Fellowship Trained, Board-Certified Ophthalmologist​

Dr. Aaron Waite is a fellowship trained, board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of Waite Vision. He discovered his passion for ophthalmology while working as an ophthalmic technician and scribe. During this time, he witnessed the life-changing impact modern eye surgery can have on an individual’s life.

Dr. Waite and his family enjoy living in Utah.

After graduating cum laude from Brigham Young University, Dr. Waite earned his medical degree from the University of Utah, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his medical internship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee, earning the 2010 ASCRS Foundation Resident Excellence Award. At the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Waite completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.

After two years in private practice, Dr. Waite was invited back to the University of Tennessee Hamilton Eye Institute as the Director of Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. During his time at UTHSC, he trained other eye surgeons and participated in multiple research studies before returning to Utah with his family to build Waite Vision.

Dr. Waite specializes in advanced vision correction including LASIK, SMILE, ICLs, refractive lens exchange, and refractive cataract surgery. He is an expert in corneal transplants including DMEK, DSAEK, DALK, and PKP. Dr. Waite is also a specialist in the treatment of keratoconus and corneal crosslinking. He uses the most precise techniques and technologies available.

Dr. Aaron Waite has been referred to by many in the industry as “the eye surgeon's surgeon.” He is highly sought after by other ophthalmologists, optometrists, and physicians to perform their personal eye surgeries.

Dr. Waite is fellowship trained corneal specialist and board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

He is frequently invited to speak at symposiums and seminars and continues his research studies in refractive and corneal surgery. In addition, Dr. Waite has enjoyed the following recognitions:
